Marbach has launched a new system for the quick and easy set-up of embossing plates on embossing-dies. With this new system, Marbach customers will save time when setting-up the embossing-dies and thus reduce machine downtimes.
For customers who emboss and die-cut/crease in two separate steps, Marbach has developed a solution that makes the adjustment of the embossing-dies to the printed image much more efficient.
Jan Brunner, Head of Business Development at Marbach: "The fact that the printed image must match the embossing is the basic requirement for optically appealing packaging. To achieve this, the embossing plates must be set-up in such a way that the embossing or debossing is exactly in the right position. With our dimensionally stable embossing-dies, the position is already pre-set. However - especially with many embossings on a paperboard sheet - the subsequent fine adjustment to the printed image can still be a time-consuming process for the machine operator."
In order to simplify the positioning of the individual female embossing dies to the printed image, Marbach has developed the embossing register system IV. It is ideally suited for use with embossing-dies. Custom-made steel pins ensure that each individual female embossing die can be adjusted very precisely to the printed image.
Brunner continues: "The embossing register system IV is characterized by its very simple handling. It only needs to be purchased once and can be used universally. This means that it very quickly pays for itself. Of course, the embossing-dies must be specially prepared in advance in order to use the embossing register system."
Some Marbach customers already use the Embossing Register System IV and the feedback is consistently positive.
