Marbach has had its own subsidiary in Mexico since January 2019. Expografica, the most important trade fair for the graphics industry in the Spanish-speaking world, took place in Mexico City from 5 to 8 March. Here, the newly founded company Troqueles Marbach de Mexico had its trade show premiere.
Fernando Pires, COO at Marbach America: "During the 4 days of the exhibition we had more than 120 visitors from all parts of Mexico at our stand. Among them were cutting-die manufacturers as well as numerous printshops and packaging manufacturers."
The visitors could see the Marbach tools not only at the Marbach stand, but also at the Masterwork stand. Here the machine manufacturer exhibited its Promatrix 106 die-cutter. This was equipped with Marbach tools, so that visitors had the opportunity to see them in live operation.
Pires continues: "At our stand we were able to present our Marbach technologies, our services and our extensive portfolio of materials to the interested visitors. An important topic for the audience was single-operation embossing, since this technology is still virtually unknown in Mexico. Curiosity for our solutions was therefore very high in this area. The dynamic stripping without lower pins was also met with great interest. During discussions at the fair, visitors could see for themselves the professional competence of our employees on site. This led to directly to some training enquiries at the fair. Last but not least, a number of Mexican die manufacturers visited the Marbach stand to find out about the range of materials. We are very pleased that we can now offer our customers all these products and services locally in Mexico."
The Expografica has been a great opportunity for the new Marbach subsidiary in Mexico to present its on-site service program, to get known and to establish new contacts. Following on from this success, Marbach has already decided to exhibit again at the next Expografica in 2021.
