Marbach organized an Open House in cooperation with Brausse Europe and ITW foils under the name of “Innovation Days 2017” at the end of March. The event took place at the Brausse premises in s’Hertogenbosch (the Netherlands).
Marbach marketing manager Tina Dost: “We had over 160 visitors in three days at our Marbach & Brausse Innovation Days. We are very happy with this number of participants.” This is also confirmed by Michael Münchow, Head of Sales at Brausse Europe, who was jointly responsible for the organization of the Innovation Days.
Live demonstrations on different Brausse machines – equipped with the newest Marbach technologies – and a small but nice supporting programme put a smile on the visitors’ faces just as the on-site consulting from Marbach and Brausse experts.
Several jobs with different layouts were made ready on the Brausse 1060 ER. The jobs were equipped with up-to-date Marbach technologies such as digital zone leveling and mpower|+. A steel counter plate was used. The Marbach masterstip|plate went into action in the stripping station while the lightblanker tool of the newest generation was used at the blanking station. After a short make-ready time – that took less than 30 minutes – the die-cutting machine could start production. Maximum machine speed was reached. The conversion of the machine – including the installation of the tools – was made in less than 15 minutes. Viewers were enthusiastic.
Afterwards demonstrations at the Levanta 1050 E followed. Further jobs were set up on this die-cutting machine without a blanking station. The Marbach mpower|+ technology was used in combination with the magic sheet. Also at this machine, running at high speed, the make-ready times and conversion, were done as quickly as with the previous ones.
Tina Dost: “At the LIVE demonstrations, we could show impressively that performance of the Brausse machine was possible with Marbach technologies. Best performance. With best cutting results.”
Concerning the topic 'embossing', Marbach presented its thinplate technology on the Brausse hotfoil machine Signa 1050Fi Hotfoiling. The job was embossed with a special hotfoil. This new type of foil has been applied to paper instead of paperboard. Marbach also showed with its thinplate system how hotfoil stamping plates can be set-up quickly and in a time-efficient manner.
During the next weeks, Marbach and Brausse will intensively follow up the projects initiated at the Innovation Days.
