Marbach is looking forward to an exciting year. The year 2019 at Marbach will be all about future security: from further expansion to the introduction of a new ERP system.
Packaging. Performance. You.
Marketing Manager Tina Dost: "In 2018 we were able to launch some innovative products onto the market. We already have numerous product ideas for 2019, which we will implement. The resulting new products will be presented at the K trade fair in Düsseldorf and at Fachpack in Nuremberg in the Fall. In addition, we will continue to expand our services segment. This will enable our customers to improve their performance not only with our product solutions, but also with our service."
Investing in the future.
The year 2019 at Marbach will be completely focused on future security. Because the toolmaker in Heilbronn is intensively involved with new technologies. In the field of thermoforming tools, for example, this means optimizing tool technology for a more efficient set-up process.
Digitization and Industry 4.0 - two buzzwords that Marbach will focus on in 2019. Under the name "connect|m" Marbach will deal intensively with these two topics. Marbach has been using digital manufacturing processes in its tool technologies for some time now. These processes are constantly being further developed and applied to new fields. Automation will also play an important role for Marbach in the future.
360° service
Marbach offers its customers an extensive service portfolio centered on packaging in the field of die-cutting technology. In addition to training at the Marbach Academy, this also includes packaging services. With services range from packaging development, packaging optimization, the creation of CAD data according to samples and die-cutting of small series. Customers can outsource all these tasks to Marbach and benefit from the experience of the Heilbronn-based die-manufacturer. This saves valuable time allowing them to concentrate on their core business.
Performance Boost Package
Dost: "But that's not all. In 2019, we will increasingly promote our Performance Boost package in the die-cutting technology sector. This means that we will provide our customers with even more technical application support. We will visit our customers, analyze their processes and create a concept to increase performance. We have already provided this type of application support to some customers with great success. With our support and equipped with new Marbach technologies, customers have, for example, been able to reduce their set-up times enormously. For 2019, we are developing a detailed concept for this area of the market."
Internationalization
The topic of internationalization has played an important role at Marbach for many years. Marbach started in 1984 with the expansion of its activities abroad. To date, there are 20 subsidiaries worldwide, which are constantly being expanded and to which more are being added. In 2018 Marbach die-cutting technology started a joint venture in China. Together with the machine manufacturer Masterwork, Marbach founded a company that manufactures tools for the Chinese market. There are also plans for 2019: there will be an expansion of the facility in Kielce (Poland). The new Marbach Die Supplies subsidiary in Mexico will open in January.
New ERP system as an opportunity
Managing Director Peter Marbach: "Our biggest "event" in 2019 will be the introduction of a new ERP system in the worldwide Marbach Group. Since the beginning of 2018, we have been working on the implementation of this project, which we have internally named one|m. We see the change of the ERP system as a great opportunity. The successful implementation of one|m will not only benefit us through more efficiency in our worldwide processes, but above all our customers through more delivery performance. We are reducing the number of interfaces and are following the trend towards greater speed and shorter delivery times."
Trade fairs and events
The year 2019 in the thermoforming sector will be dominated by the K trade fair. Marbach will present its latest developments in the field of mould technologies for the plastics industry. Marbach will also be represented at Fachpack in the field of die-cutting technology.
Moreover, Marbach will be present at many foreign trade fairs such as Expo Grafica in Mexico, IADD Odyssey in Atlanta, Interplastica in Moscow and Print in China, to name just a few.
Tina Dost: "2019 will be another year of exciting projects for us. We will approach new markets, work on the successful introduction of our ERP system and continue to secure the future of our company’s expansion. And of course we will also bring our new product developments to the market. We are already looking forward to supporting our customers with new solutions and providing them with even greater performance."
