Honeycomb board special tools. Smurfit Kappa Ermelo relies on tool technologies from Marbach.
We meet a wide range of customer requirements. One of these special requirements is the die-cutting of honeycomb board. Customer Smurfit Kappa relies on Marbach technologies and is highly satisfied.
René M. Kamminga Technical Manager at Smurfit Kappa Hexacomb in Ermelo (Netherlands): "Marbach manufactures special cutting-dies for us for die-cutting honeycomb board. We have very special requirements here, because we not only die-cut in different thicknesses but also die-cut parts and emboss areas within the honeycomb board. In addition, the honeycomb board must be able to be partially folded. In close cooperation with Marbach, the Marbach tools have been further developed piece by piece, so that today I can say that all our wishes have been fully met. We are delighted with how Marbach performed throughout the project and how quickly solutions were found for our – not always easy – challenges. We also found it very pleasant that we were accompanied throughout the entire project with the the same contact person, who was not only very competent but always open to further optimization.
