This year, the biggest trade fair for print media took place. Every 4 years, the industry meets in Duesseldorf. Marbach is on-site with a stand each time. As in previous years, the company has impressed its customers. With innovations. Such as the digital zone levelling sheet. The new blanker. And the hygiene cutting die marbaclean. But also with its booth. And the new corporate design. New sales documents. And of course with its best service. And consulting. The trade fair was a huge success for the Heilbronn based company. Also on the longterm.
“Especially the trade fair’s top topics continued to meet with strong customer interest. For us this is a confirmation. That we know the industry very well. And that we can offer our customers just what they need. And wish for,” says Jan Brunner, Director of Business Development at Marbach, “digital zone levelling attracted the most attention at drupa. Our customers made appointments on-site. Although we reckoned that reducing make ready times would be a very important topic for our customers, the requests have far exceeded our expectations. And this was only one of many trade fair topics.”
Also in the area of blanking, Marbach had ground-breaking news at drupa. The marbablanker, a new development, was another favorite at the exhibition booth. “Customers are thrilled by the marbablanker’s simplicity and its many benefits,” Brunner explains. Also, the tried and proven lightblanker was relaunched at drupa. It is used especially when highest flexibility is needed. Because of its modular construction. That’s why the base frame can stay in the machine. And is adjusted according to the job-specific blanking grid each time. With quick lock functions. And single-person handling. “Not all customers have a blanker in use for every job. Sometimes, automatic blanking isn’t worth it. At least, that’s a widely shared notion. We want to change that idea with the lightblanker. And considering our incoming blanker orders, we are well on track,” Brunner continues.
There also was a strong demand for refinement at drupa. Special packaging is a top seller at the point of sales. That’s why the topic embossing is still very current. In paperboard. But also in corrugated board. Hot foil provides an additional highlight to the packaging. With marbafoil, Marbach has a solution that convinces. For years. But also in corrugated board packaging, refinement is becoming more relevant. Brunner: “The end customers are becoming ever more challenging. And demand more and more from our customers. We want to help them fulfill these requirements. With our pure edge technology, clean visible edges are also possible for corrugated board. This appeals to the consumers. And therefore also to the Brand Owners.”
The drupa has been a complete success for the Marbach Group. But that isn't all. In a few months, the FachPack is forthcoming. Marbach wants to continue with the drupa success.
