Marbach donates aid to Ukraine for the winter. 10,000 euros will become 80,000 euros for Ukraine in the winter.

This Christmas, we are once again traditionally donating to a good cause. In recent years, we have divided our donations to support local and international projects. Given the ongoing war and suffering in Ukraine, this year we dedicated our entire donation to an international project: Under the motto “Donations instead of gifts”, we donated 10,000 euros to the “Winter Aid in Ukraine” of the aid organization Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. In the hope that the war will be ended soon, we plan to split the donation again in the coming years and donate it to both local and international projects.

Peter Marbach: “What makes us especially happy about this year's donation to Ukraine is that the German Federal Foreign Office considers the project of the aid organization Help, which we support, to be particularly worthy of funding. This means that the amount of our donation is multiplied by eight. That means that a donation of 10,000 euros generates aid funds of 80,000 euros.”

Help for the people in Ukraine
Bianca Kaltschmitt, Managing Director of the aid organization Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V.: “The war and destruction in Ukraine continues. The cold winter is drastically increasing the humanitarian needs on the ground. Many people in Ukraine are increasingly afraid that they will not survive this winter. Countless people are exposed to the winter temperatures without protection.”

Help provides aid here: As part of the “Winter Aid” project, Help uses the donations provided to ensure that communities have a heat supply so that families have a warm home. But that's not all: damaged shelters are repaired and people in need are provided with urgently needed relief supplies and food. With our donation, we are giving many people the security to get through the winter safely.

The donation was handed over on the 2nd of December 2024 at Marbach in Heilbronn. Peter Marbach presented the donation check to Bianca Kaltschmitt from Help. She was very happy to receive the check from Marbach: “On behalf of Help and the people in Ukraine, I would like to thank you very much for the Marbach donation. This is already the ninth Christmas donation from Marbach consecutively. This shows the trust that Marbach has in our work.”
