Description

In this intensive paperboard course, participants receive practical and very in-depth insights into the paperboard die-cutting process in 4.5 days. The extensive practical part (approx. 70%) takes place at our die-cutting machine Eterna eCut 1060Elite, and the theoretical part (approx. 30%) in the modern premises of the Marbach Academy. Experienced technicians and trainers provide important information on the topics of die-cutting, stripping, blanking and finishing of paperboard. Of course, always at the current state of the art. The focus is on performance, product quality and productivity – with many practical tips for everyday work.

Content theory and practice

  • A brief introduction to materials and their effects on the die-cutting process.
  • Die-cutting machine. Safety instructions. Machine technology. Stations.
  • Introducing the demo tool package. Target state.
  • Care, maintenance and repair of the tool package and machine.
  • Counter plate. Creasing matrixes, rillma and milled steel counter plates.
  • Nicks for sheet transport and waste protection.
  • Efficient make-ready process for the demo tool package when used for the first time and for repeat jobs.
  • Pressure balance, cutting pressure, area and fine make-ready.
  • Dynamic stripping and effective blanking.
  • Challenges in practice, die-cutting errors, solutions, tips and tricks from practical experiences.

Target audience

This intensive seminar is aimed at newcomers and career changers in the packaging industry who want to build up basic knowledge and work on a die-cutting machine. But it is also aimed at machine operators who want to expand their knowledge and develop their skills. It provides basic knowledge for the safe handling of materials, machines and tools to ensure maximum performance, high product quality and minimal machine downtime. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, participants learn how to efficiently set up and prepare jobs independently. This is an indispensable course for developing skills and knowledge.


After the training

The participants are up to date with the latest die-cutting technology:

  • They can independently, professionally and efficiently put a tool package into operation, both for initial and repeat orders.
  • They have an overview of the latest technologies and can apply their knowledge in a targeted manner to ensure high productivity and quality of their die-cut blanks and packaging.
