Marbach in China. Joint venture starts shortly.
Marbach will soon start its joint venture Marbach Masterwork (Tianjin) Cutting Tools Co Ltd. in China. As of July, Marbach will have a further production site in Asia in addition to its production in Malaysia. The range includes cutting-dies, stripping and blanking tools for the Chinese tobacco and folding carton industry.
Dominic Fischer, Customer Service Manager of the new location in China: "After signing the contract in December 2017, we immediately started to implement our plans. The main topics were buildings, equipping the building with production facilities, employee planning and training. We are very proud that we have been able to achieve everything in this short time: in July we will start production in Tianjin. We will begin with a relatively small team in production and administration and then gradually expand the site. In future the employees in Tianjin will ensure that the Chinese market can be supplied directly from China with tools in Marbach quality".
In addition to its new location in China, Marbach has many branches around the world and plans to further expand its international operations in the coming years.
In 2012 Marbach started manufacturing cutting-dies in Charlotte (USA) and in 2014 in Malaysia. Both locations were very quickly successful and are today important service providers in the Marbach Group. Fischer: "Our joint venture in China should also quickly become part of this success story.”
