We feature various blanking solutions for our customers in our extensive portfolio. One of them, the Marbach lightblanker, ensures that machine blanking makes economic sense even for short runs and simple layouts.
In the blanking process, the individual packaging blanks are separated from each other after die-cutting and stripping. This process can either be done manually or by machine. Machine blanking offers many advantages, which make the use of a blanking tool worthwhile even for simple layouts and short runs.
Bernhard Reisser, industry manager for paperboard at the Marbach Group: "Especially when the lightblanker is used as a blanking tool, this modular blanking tool is not only inexpensive, but is also impressive due to its flexibility. The lightblanker consists of a base frame that is installed in the die-cutting machine and a job-specific separating grid that can be quickly and easily replaced for each new job. So, with the lightblanker, it makes sense to separate the blanks by machine for each and every job."
Due to its low weight and thanks to the quick-release fastener, the lightblanker can be installed and converted by a single person in just a few steps. Changing over to a sheet delivery also takes almost no time at all.
Reisser continues: "In the blanking process, the right tool is decisive for productivity and reliable further processing of the blanks. In addition to the lightblanker, we also offer other blanking technologies for special requirements. In our free whitepaper we have highlighted in detail all the relevant information relating to the optimum use of the blanking station."
