Marbach is known for its diverse product range. In addition to cutting-dies for packaging, Marbach also produces tools for special technical solutions. The technical department at Marbach, which specializes in such solutions, is responsible for developing the corresponding tools.
Marbach Sales Manager Michael Kiesel: "When die-cutting thermoformed items, trays for electronic parts or medical components, displays and even foam, very special demands are placed on the cutting-die. In such cases it is not enough to equip the tool with the usual 23.8 mm cutting rules. Here the cutting knives must be significantly higher. This height depends on the material to be die-cut. We at Marbach can easily process heights of up to 100 mm."
What characterizes Marbach tools is their high precision and special processing. Besides the use of multiplex wood as dieboards, aluminum can also be used for more exacting requirements. The joints of the cutting rules can be laser-welded, spot-welded or conventionally welded, depending on the customer's requirements.
Kiesel continues: "We use special bending equipment to process the cutting rules. This makes it possible to have contours with many bends and few joints."
However, the use of high-cutting knives is only a part of the overall competence of the technical department. In addition, there are numerous other special solutions that Marbach implements for its customers. One example is steel-rule technology for the production of thermoformed cups. In this way Marbach offers numerous die-cutting solutions. Not only with packaging. But for a wide variety of special technical solutions.
